The Latest Technology
BuildingPro have a FLIR i5 Thermal Imaging Camera that can do an infra red scan of the property for hot and cold spots that can indicate leaks, missing insulation, dampness, termite infestation and even faulty electrical components.
We are equipped with a Borerscope, which is a flexible inspection camera for inspecting inside wall cavities. This is useful for Invasive Inspections to check for Pest Activity and Damage.
A Tramex Moisture meter is used to test internal walls and ceilings for dampness and leaks. This is useful for finding leaking showers and roof leaks.
We also have the latest in termite detection technology, the Australian developed Termatrac T3i device that detects movement in walls and helps identify if termites are active inside walls without having to break open holes in the wall. This is very useful when clients have a property under contract, but cannot get the seller’s permission to make holes in the wall for an invasive inspection.
Andrew Mackie-Smith is a trained Termatrac Technician and keeps his training up to date by attending an annual training course.
All reports are issued on an inndox logbook. inndox is an Award winning Australian software company developed by the founders of BuildingPro to provide more service to our valued clients.
Steps involved
We will ask you some questions over the phone or by email about the property and what your needs are. Once we understand your requirements we will prepare a proposed scope of work, quote and inspection agreement.
We will contact the Real Estate agent to book in the inspection time and then confirm the time with you via email. We encourage you to be present at the inspection so that you can see the defects for yourself and have the inspector explain the findings to you first hand.
Wherever possible we will make the inspection fit with your schedule. If you cannot make it to the inspection, but would like to send along your partner, family member or friend on your behalf to represent you that is fine with us. We will gladly take them over the property and discuss the results of the inspection with them for you. Alternatively we are happy to give you a phone call after the inspection to summarise the findings.
Payment & Cancellations
Payment of our invoice can be made to the inspector onsite by cash, cheque, direct transfer, Mastercard or Visa. We request payment be on or before the day of the inspection.
We understand that sometimes postponements or cancellations are necessary. In this case we ask that you provide us with at least 24 hours notice before the inspection time.
